The GTI Bi-Fuel® System from ALTRONIC, LLC is an innovative technology that enables operators of heavy-duty diesel engines to substantially reduce operational costs and lower emissions by substituting diesel fuel with lower cost, cleaner-burning natural gas.
-
The Bi-Fuel® System is comprised of patented technologies that allow engines to safely operate on gas percentages up to a maximum of 70% (subject to gas quality and other application conditions) of the total fuel requirement.
-
Engines converted to GTI Bi-Fuel® exhibit diesel-like performance in such critical areas as efficiency, stability and load acceptance.
Altronic GTI Bi-Fuel® Benefits
RETURN ON INVESTMENT:
As quick as two months for engines running 24/7 and connected to pipeline gas.
LOWER DIESEL CONSUMPTION:
Bi-fuel engine runs on up to 70% on natural gas fuel.
EXTENDED RUN TIMES:
On stored diesel fuel - important for emergency power situations.
CARB COMPLIANT:
Helping engine meet demanding regulatory requirements.
SAME ENGINE OUTPUT:
Does not decrease the power output of your engine.
NON-INTRUSIVE INSTALLATION:
The Bi-fuel system is bolt-on solution and is non-intrusive to your engine.
POTENTIAL EXTENDED MAINTENANCE INTERVALS:
Due to running cleaner natural gas fuel being consumed in the combustion chamber.
The savings realized by running the GTI Bi-Fuel® System is directly related to the cost of diesel fuel, cost of gas, and the number of hours of operation. The following is an example is a cost comparison between running a 1000 kW generator on 100% diesel and on Bi-Fuel with a 65% gas-to-diesel ratio in continuous operation. A number of assumptions are made in this example which are clearly stated in order to clarify the calculations.
